How to connect the Roxy coffee machine with the App
Before you can use the Roxy coffee machine with the Roxy app, you need to register the machine in the app. You can do this in the app footer under More → Machine, or by clicking the R in the top right of the home screen. You may need to repeat the process, as some smartphones query the interface irregularly. Once you’ve connected your Roxy, the app will recognize your machine automatically.
Barista Home Mode
At the start, we’ve preloaded three standard profiles on your machine. The Barista Home mode lets you make basic adjustments and gives you a recommendation at the end of each coffee extraction on how to adjust your grind setting. During extraction, the app displays progress.
Barista Pro Mode
In Barista Pro mode, you have full control over all parameters such as pressure, temperature, and flow. During the extraction, the app shows flow and pressure curves in real time. In Barista Pro mode, you can create your own profiles.
Using the Roxy with multiple users
You can share your Roxy coffee machine with your partner or family. We recommend coordinating which program slots each person uses or using the same profiles. If one user changes a profile and writes it back to the machine, the other user’s app can only load and save it again as a new profile.
How to edit profiles in the App
Before editing a profile, we recommend duplicating it. Open the profile you want to edit, scroll to the bottom, and duplicate the profile. You’ll find the duplicated profile in the overview with the label “Copy.” In this profile, you can make changes without overwriting the original one.
How to use extraction curves
After extraction, you can view the extraction curves under Shots and compare them with other extractions. The values in the curves are displayed when you swipe your finger over them. You can deselect individual variables by clicking on the labels.
How to connect an external scale
You can connect your Roxy to an external scale via the app. You can do this in the app footer under More, or by clicking the S (Scale) icon in the top right of the home screen. Currently Roxy supports the Felicita ARC scale, and more scales will follow soon. An external scale isn’t strictly necessary, as Roxy already has a very accurate internal weight measurement.
